Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection Gets First Update After Messy Launch

03/19/2024 09:46 am EDT

Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection released last week, and while anticipation for the release was very high, things were a bit of a mess at launch, and players have been trashing the game online as a result. Developer Aspyr has been working behind the scenes to turn things around, and the game's first update is now live on Steam. Unfortunately, console users will have to wait a bit longer, but Aspyr has submitted the update to PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox. The update includes a significant number of improvements, covering multiplayer, controls, visuals, and more. Full patch notes from the company's official website can be found below:

The two Battlefront games really mean a lot to Star Wars fans, and it's always unfortunate when a game releases in bad shape. Coupled with the mess surrounding Aspyr's release of Knights of the Old Republic 2, fans have a lot of reason not to trust the company lately, and big improvements like this could help to win some back. That said, there's still a lot Aspyr has to do to turn things around. Hopefully the developers can get Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection in a much better state!
