X-Men: Alternate Designs For Apocalypse

During the filming of X-Men: Days of Future Past, professional character and creature designer Jared Krichevsky was given the opportunity to design Apocalypse (also known as), the main villain of the most recent X-Men film. It was an opportunity that he relished, as he's a huge fan of the "Age of Apocalypse" (1995–1996) comic book crossover storyline and of the X-Men: The Animated Series (1992-1997).

Ultimately, director Bryan Singer went in a different direction, but luckily for us, Krichevsky has updated his site with a pair of his designs for the ancient and powerful mutant.

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

The cast features James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Lucas Till as Havok, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Josh Helman as William Stryker, Lana Condor as Jubilee, and Ben Hardy as Angel.

It was directed by Bryan Singer, based on a story by Singer, Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. The script was penned by Kinberg.

20th Century Fox's X-Men: Apocalypse will arrive on Digital HD on September 9. It'll come to Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, and DVD on October 4.
