Ms. Marvel is ready to take Japan by storm with a little help from a veteran Japanse artist.
Take a look at the cover below.
Koyama is a designer who has worked on Heroman, Eureka Seven, Star Driver, Captain Earth, Gunbuster 2 and G-Reko. He also has credits for working on the concept design for Baymax in Big Hero 6, for being the art director on Kill La Kill, and an animator/designer on Evangelion.
Ms. Marvel was created by G. Willow Wilson, Adrian Alphona, Sana Amanat, and Stephen Wacker for Marvel Comics and debuted in Captain Marvel #14 in August 2013. The character, whose alter ego is a teenage Muslim girl named Kamala Khan, gained her Inhuman powers when she was exposed to a cloud of Terrigen Mist. Ms. Marvel has proven to be one of Marvel's most successful new character in recent years.
Ms. Marvel is now an award-winning series that has run for over 40 issues (over two consecutive volumes). The series also won the Hugo Award and has been nominated for several other awards, including Eisner Awards and Harvey Awards.
Ms. Marvel has also become a larger part of the Marvel Universe. She was an Avenger for a time before she, Spider-Man, and Nova broke away from that team and formed the Champions. She's also become a part of the Inhumans Secret Warriors team.
Ms. Marvel has appeared in other Marvel media as well, including in the animated series Avengers Assemble and in video games including Marvel Puzzle Quest, Lego Marvel's Avengers, Lego Marvel Heroes 2, Marvel Avengers Academy, Marvel Heroes, Marvel: Future Fight, and Marvel: Contest of Champions.
Kamala Khan has yet to make her live-action debut as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or otherwise.
