There were a bunch of Easter eggs in Man of Steel, ranging from Batman and Lex Luthor to Booster Gold and Cyborg.

There were also a few that didn't quite make it in--like Jack Ryder (and later Vicki Vale) being rejected as potential bloggers for Lois Lane to leak her Superman stories to.

And now that the movie is out and the credits on IMDb can be considered reliable even as it awaits formal confirmation (in fact, some of these we checked and snapped cell phone photos of as they went by), we figured it was worth going down the list to see whether there was anything we missed.

Kenny Braverman Eventually the villain Conduit, Braverman was a high school classmate of Clark Kent's who, tired of being always outperformed by Kent in sports, started to hate him even though the pair were nominally friends. Years later, Kryptonite-related powers would manifest, as he had been born under a hail of radiation from Superman's ship. Interestingly, while Smallville used that trick a bunch of times (including for Amy Adams's character), Braverman is the only one we can think of in the comics. And while Smallville got a lot of winks and nods in this movie, it was Kenny rather than any of their villains whose name was used. "Ace o' Clubs Bartender" In Superman Returns, it was "Bo the Bartender, played by Adventures of Superman actor Jack Larson. This time out, they eschew a name for the character, but sure enough, it's still Bibbo since it's his bar, The Ace o' Clubs, that makes it into the credits. Comic Book Creators General Swanderson (Curt Swan), Byrne (John Byrne), The Weisinger School (Mort Weisinger),  Major Sekowsky (Mike Sekowsky) and probably more we missed.

World of New Kryptonians: Everyone knows that Smallville's Luthor clone Mackenzie Gray played Jax-Ur, a Kryptonian mad scientist, in the film--but not nearly as much discussion centered around other Kryptonians, including Tor-An, Nadira and Car-Vex, who were versions of characters we'd seeen during the World of New Krypton storyline in the comics a few years back. Whitney Fordman A character on Smallville, Fordman is referred to in the film as "Fordham," but many fans have assumed it was actually Fordman and if IMDb is right (I'd put this one at about even odds), that's how the character is credited, as well.

Man of Steel

"Jenny" This one's a longshot, we admit. What if Jenny-Not-Olsen is in fact an iteration of Jenny Quantum, the "Spirit of the 21st Century," who is in place on behalf of Stormwatch? Certainly replacing Jimmy Olsen (in this film; he'll be around later, we're sure) with a character who is emblematic of the future instead of the buttoned-down, bow-tied past could say something subliminal and working undercover for Stormwatch would give her a perfectly legitimate reason not to be anything but an hysterical damsel in distress in that third act. The other in-universe option? Jenny Warren, who has ties to Gotham (through Azrael) and who is currently known as "Lane." Tying Lois's family with Batman? Hmm...
