It's a pretty good bet that there will be a third Thor movie. Earlier this week, Comicbook.com reported that the worldwide box office for Thor: The Dark World had already exceeded the worldwide box office for the original Thor movie. Now, Thor: The Dark World has crossed another milestone. Thor: The Dark World has exceeded over $500 million at the worldwide box office. Thor: The Dark World's current worldwide box office total of $504.2 million is enough to make it the ninth highest grossing film of 2013 worldwide. At the domestic box office, Thor: The Dark World has taken in $152 million, and the film currently ranks as the twelfth highest grossing film of 2013 in the U.S. Thor: The Dark World has been the highest grossing film in the U.S. for the last two weekends, but its reign will almost certainly come to an end this weekend, as The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set to dominate theaters. However, Thor: The Dark World should still have several more weeks in theaters in both the U.S. and internationally, so it wouldn't be surprising if the film brings in another $100 million or two.
