For Batman fans, there are few things more iconic than the Batmobile. I would safely say that it's also Scott Russel's favorite aspect of Batman as well.

Russell, who is from Johnstone, Renfrewshire, has spent the better part of 2 and a half years crafting his one of a kind custom Batmobile, and he used the family car to do it. Built out of their Mitsubishi Lancer, Russell has spent over £2000 modifying the vehicle, but it's hard to argue with the results.

It's like if Batman had a practical batmobile, one in which he took out dates or attended weddings in. For Russell's version, he painted the car a midnight black and had a bat symbol stylishly designed on the side doors. The grill is outlined in yellow, as are the tires, complete with bat symbols on the hub cups. The coolest accessory is the custom filter for the headlights, displaying the bat signal when the brights are on. Not bad at all.

For his part, Russell says his love of Batman started when he was young. "Obviously, when I was a child through all the different Michael Keaton movies and stuff like that I've seen Batman. It's just a fascination I've had since I was young." When's he isn't displaying it at special events, he's using it to drop off his daughter at school, something she isn't a fan of.

"I use it to pick my daughter up from school. That gets a lot of attention, classes get stopped and all that and they're all looking out the window and that."

I get it. When I was young, I'd probably be embarrassed too, even if my parents were dropping me off in Optimus Prime. Still, rather a cool Batmobile than a Spider-buggy. It could always be worse.
