Why was Warner Bros. so anxious to cast a Wonder Woman for Batman Vs. Superman? Why have there been various other casting rumors suggesting other superheroes could be part of Batman Vs. Superman? What DC Comics project is Dwayne "The Rock" Johson working on for Warner Bros. in 2014? Well, Latino Review might have the answer. According to one of their trusted sources, the DC Comics film that The Rock will be working on in 2014 will be the Justice League movie. Of course, Warner Bros. has yet to officially announce a Justice League movie, and the only DC Comics movie that they have announced as being in production in 2014 is Batman Vs. Superman. The site also reports that insiders believe that Batman Vs. Superman and Justice League are going to be shot back-to-back. It's not an uncommon practice for Warner Bros., as that is what they did with The Hobbit films. It would also make sense from a scheduling standpoint, as many of the actors and actresses involved in Batman Vs. Superman have quite busy schedules. In addition, the site reports that Batman Vs. Superman is going to end with a big cliffhanger that leads into the Justice League movie, so Warner Bros. will likely want to be able to turn around and release the Justice League movie within a year of Batman Vs. Superman. This would also make sense from the perspective that Warner Bros. has yet to officially announce a DC Comics film for 2016, and the studio surely doesn't want to skip a year with Marvel Studios already releasing at least two Marvel films a year. Batman Vs. Superman is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on July 17, 2015.
