This Fall, Daniel Craig's Bond finally goes up against Spectre in the simply-titled Spectre, but it's looking like he has a bigger battle on his hands: his license to kill might be expired over at Sony.

Over at Variety, there's talks that the legendary spy might have to go elsewhere after Spectre since it's the last of a deal between MGM and Sony. Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and Skyfall have been the highest-grossing movies in the Bond franchise, so it's a no-brainer that every studio would want 007's Aston Martin parked in their garage, but there's one studio in particular that might have the upperhand.

Insiders speculate that the close relationship between MGM chief Gary Barber and Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara could result in the super-spy heading to Burbank, CA. MGM and Warner Bros. are no strangers in business dealings and have partnered on several films including the Hobbit trilogy. Sony Pictures Entertainment motion picture group chairman Tom Rothman admits that the battle for Bond will be intense.

"The reality is that Sony's had a fantastic run with the Bonds," said Rothman, adding, "Sure we're going to compete for [for the rights], but let's be honest, so is everybody in the business."

Would Bond's move to Warners be a good call or has Sony's record with him in the past decade given Bond the best treatment?
