A new 30-second spot has arrived online for Dredd 3D, playing up the film's big action set pieces and making sure to note "based on the legendary comic book" at the top of the thirty seconds.
It also makes sure to drop an "I am the law" very early, and to put the words "Judge" and "Dredd" together so that moviegoers who might be familiar with the name from the Stallone film but not much else will be sure to know what it is they're being sold.
It's an extremely effective ad, and it fixes some of the perceived problems with the movie's first full-length trailer, making better use of the slow-motion photography that's more indicative of what's actually in the film.
Check it out below. Dredd 3D hits theaters on September 21.
