Deadpool 2: Five Characters We Want to See
Now that Deadpool is breaking box office records left and right, Fox is already working on a [...]
Cable
Okay, we're probably cheating by including Cable in our list, as the post-credit scene all but confirmed the gun-wielding telekinetic time traveler would appear in the sequel. Still, Deadpool works best when he's teamed up with a "straight man", and no one has filled that role more admirably than Cyclops's favorite son. We'd prefer a version of Cable that sticks closely to his Rob Liefeld-written years, someone whose bad attitude and bigger guns make Deadpool seem that much funnier by comparison
prevnextSiryn
Although Deadpool ended on a good note between Wade and Vanessa, Deadpool's most interesting love interest in the comics has always been Banshee's daughter, Siryn. Siryn was the first X-Man to look past Deadpool's insanity and mercurial nature and push him down a more heroic path. While her efforts weren't always successful, Deadpool returned her kindness by helping her get her powers back after an ex-teammate severed her vocal cords. Let's face it, who wouldn't want to watch Deadpool flirt with Siryn in the middle of battle?
[Note: A teen version of Siryn already appeared in X2, but Days of Future Past erased that movie from the timeline so we don't have to worry about any continuity issues there.]
prevnextDomino
If Deadpool 2 involves Cable and X-Force, chances are Domino will also make an appearance. A recent report suggests that she will indeed be a part of the film. One of Cable's oldest allies (and occasional lover), Domino has the ability to subconsciously manipulate probabilities, giving her uncanny good luck while causing her opponents a steady stream of misfortune. In addition to battling alongside and against Deadpool, Domino also has a history with Vanessa, Deadpool's girlfriend. Vanessa (who has shapeshifting abilities in the comics) posed as Domino to infiltrate X-Force and kill Cable, but she failed when Deadpool inadvertently blew her cover. Since then, Domino's fought Deadpool several times, usually getting the upper hand thanks to her powers.
prevnextAgent X
Deadpool's "Earth-2" doppelganger, Agent X is a superpowered assassin with similar abilities, powers and attitude to Deadpool, leading many to presume that the two are the same person. When Deadpool turned up missing while fighting a rival assassin, Agent X appeared in New York with Deadpool's healing factor and personality but a much cleaner look. Deadpool's friends discovered that Agent X was one of the rival mercenary's goons who had merged with Deadpool in an explosion. Deadpool and Agent X eventually "un-merged", but Agent X kept the healing factor and bad attitude.
prevnextDogpool
The only better than one Deadpool is having multiple Deadpools in the sequel!
In 2010, Marvel introduced the Deadpool Corps, a team of Deadpools from multiple universe. In addition to a female and child version of Deadpool, there's also Dogpool: the dog version of the Merc with a Mouth. Like the real Deadpool, Dogpool has an advanced healing factor and can even wield a dog-sized katana with his mouth. He also has the same obnoxious attitude as Deadpool, only his chatter is all woofs and barks.
