Guardians Of The Galaxy To Be Released In 3D

Marvel Studios has announced that Guardians of the Galaxy will be released in 3D. The news doesn't come as a surprise, given the box office dollars that The Avengers was able to rake in thanks in part to the higher dollar 3D ticket prices. The Guardians of the Galaxy movie centers around "a U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone want." Guardians of the Galaxy is being directed by James Gunn, and the film is set to be released in theaters on August 1, 2014. No cast members have been officially announced for Guardians of the Galaxy yet, but a number of actors have been rumored to be up for the role of Star-Lord.
