While the rest of the world looks forward to this year's Guardians of the Galaxy animated series on Disney XD, one fan is looking back—like, 40 years back.

DeviantART user Jay Fosgitt has posted an image of how Guardians of the Galaxy might have looked had iconic cartoon studio Hanna-Barbera (maker of classics like The Flinstones and The Jetsons) taken a crack at Marvel's bunch of A-Holes. In fact, each member of the "Hanna Barbardians of the Galaxy" is inspired by a particular Hannah-Barbera creation, which Fosgitt broke down on his page

"That's teenage Pebbles and Bamm Bamm as Gamora and Star Lord, Muttley as Rocket, Captain Caveman as Drax, and Grape Ape as Groot," Fosgitt wrote. "I added a distressed texture to give this piece a vintage "garage sale" look."

We don't know about you, we could definitely see our parents watching this every Saturday morning with a bowl of Fruity Pebbles.
