Idris Elba Dismisses Dr. Who Rumors

Nobody seriously thought he would be the guy to end up with the job, but Luther star Idris Elba yesterday dismissed talk of his taking over as the Twelfth Doctor following the resignation of Matt Smith from British sci-fi staple Doctor Who. Discussing his upcoming season of Luther and the prospects of a movie (he wants it if the fans do), the actor (who has been tipped for nearly every major vacant role in the U.K., including James Bond when Daniel Craig is done) was asked whether he might be the face that appears after The Doctor's next regeneration. "I'd look silly in a bow tie," was his answer. We're not so sure about that, but can't prove him wrong, as the image at left is the only one we could find in a Google image search.
