will come to Blu-ray and DVD on August 27, earlier than anybody had previously expected, reports Screen Crush. They also suggest that the extra footage included for the Chinese version of the film could be "edited into a short film that will be included on the DVD." While pre-order information through Wal-Mart and Vudu promised the film by December, the previous Iron Man films (and Marvel's The Avengers) had come to DVD in September, leading some of our readers to suspect that going off the Vudu date was a bad call. Turns out they were right, as the film will actually come to home video earlier, not later, than its precursors. The news comes as Iron Man 3 had another strong week at the domestic box office, becoming one of the top ten films of all time worldwide. It's also #25 on the all-time U.S. box office list (if that sounds weird, it's because the domestic list ONLY considers money generated domestically).
