I want you to be nice about this reboot .... until it's time to not be nice.

Last month, MGM pinned down UFC superstar Ronda Rousey (Furious 7, Entourage) to star and produce in a reboot to 1989's Road House. Now the studio has locked down Nick Cassavetes write and direct it, according to Variety.

Cassavetes is best known for directing The Notebook (2004), 2006's Alpha Dog (also wrote), My Sister's Keeper (2009) and The Other Woman (2014). The former and the latter were cited by sources as to why Cassavetes got the gig. "Sources say it was his skill of writing strong roles for women that was a major selling point for execs," Variety added.

Sources for Variety says that prepping for the reboot will kick into gear after November 14th, which is the day Rousey defends her championship against Holly Holm at UFC 193. Filming is expected to officially begin in the first quarter of 2016.

Road House (1989) - Patrick Swayze stars in this sexy thriller from the producer of Die Hard and the Matrix. Co-starring Ben Gazzara (The Thomas Crown Affair), Kelly Lynch (Charlie's Angels) and Sam Elliott (We Were Soldiers), Road House delivers no-holds-barred action that pushes the envelope for high-octane thrills! Swayze is Dalton, a legendary bouncer who comes to Jasper, Missouri, for a special purpose: to restore order at the notorious Double Deuce Bar. In one spectacular fight after another, Dalton rids the bar of thugs and henchmen. But when he runs afoul of a ruthless crime boss (Gazzara) who controls the town, the stage is set for a blistering showdown that'll leave only one man standing!
