The Dark Knight Rises & The Avengers Nominated For Multiple MTV Movie Awards

While The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers might have gotten overlooked in the Best Picture category at the Oscars, both films scored nominations for Movie of the Year for the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. Other Movie of the Year nominees included Django Unchained, Silver Linings Playbook, and Ted. Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo were nominated as Best On-Screen Duo for their performances in The Avengers. Marvel Studios really needs to pair the two together for a Marvel Team-Up movie. Christian Bale was nominated for Best Shirtless Performance for The Dark Knight Rises. In the Best Fight category, nominees included Christian Bale vs. Tom Hardy in the Dark Knight Rises and  Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner vs. Tom Hiddleston in The Avengers. Marion Cotillard and Tom Hardy were nominated for Best Villain for The Dark Knight Rises, and Tom Hiddleston was also nominated for The Avengers. The 2013 MTV Movie Awards starring Rebel Wilson will air live on MTV on April 14, 2013 at 9 PM ET.
