Twentieth Century Fox has released a new featurette for The Wolverine through Digital Spy. In introducing the new footage, director James Mangold says, "In samurai legend and samurai terminology, a Ronin is a samurai without a cause, without a purpose." Hugh Jackman adds, "Wolverine is the ultimate outsider. And in our movie, which takes place after X-Men 3, he's probably more isolated than you've ever seen Wolverine. He has lost hope, and it's a dangerous place for someone as powerful as Wolverine." Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before. The Wolverine is scheduled to be released at movie theaters in the United States on July 26, 2013.
