World Wrestling Entertainment wished Phil Brooks aka CM Punk, the best of luck in his newest endeavor on their website today.

On Thanksgiving, Punk ended months of silence and speculation and spoke out on the Colt Cabana's podcast, The Art of Wrestling. He explained that issues arose when the WWE and several wrestlers ignored several of his real life health problems. Though Punk walked out of the company in January, he technically didn't part from the company until June when he was fired on his wedding day.

Last night at UFC 181, Punk announced that he would be joining the UFC roster. Since the announcement, former Green Ranger (of Power Rangers) and mixed martial artist, Jason David Frank has been campaigning on social media for a shot in the cage against the former WWE superstar.

The former heavyweight champion hasn't slown down since his departure from the WWE. Last month Marvel announced that Punk would make his Marvel comics debut penning Thor Annual # 1. The straight-edged superstar would be teaming with Eisner-award winning artist Rob Guillory. The annual will be released in February.

Punk is scheduled to begin competing in the UFC some time next year.
