In his career, Gilliam has starred in a wide-range of projects. He has be part of award-winning films like Still Alice or lighter flicks such as Starship Troopers. He has also housed several reoccurring television roles on series like The Cosby Show, Nurse Jackie, The Good Wife, Person of Interest, and Teen Wolf.
However, there are two shows which fans know Gilliam best for. The first is The Wire, and the second is none other than AMC’s The Walking Dead. Gilliam played a survivor named Gabriel Stokes in the fifth season. The character is a priest who secludes himself shortly after the zombie outbreak begins and turns away his parish to let them die. As such, Gilliam suffers from intense guilt and remorse over their gruesome ends, and his faith is shaken by the world’s change.
So far, Gilliam’s character is still alive on the notorious violent show. Fans will have to see whether the priest is able to make it further along in the series before Negan can take Lucille to him.
