After their controversial finish at Roadblock, Raw General Manager Mick Foley announced that Kevin Owens will face Roman Reigns at the 2017 Royal Rumble for the Universal Championship. Owens has held the title since August and has overcome some of the biggest obstacles that WWE has on their roster.

The stipulation though is that Chris Jericho won't be around to help save his so-called best friend, Kevin Owens. No no, Jericho will be suspended inside a shark tank. Yes, much like how it was utilized recently on NXT TakeOver, Chris Jericho will be contained inside a shark tank hanging above the ring and unavailable to help Kevin Owens retain his title this time around.

The Chris Jericho/Kevin Owens relationship has been rocky as of late so the real test has yet to come. Will their friendship survive the Rumble? Will it survive the New Year?

Roman Reigns still has the desire to become a double champion and is getting one more chance at the Universal Championship. Reigns has had some great fortune heading into the Rumble, so we'll see if WWE's Big Dog can fulfill his wish or if Kevin Owens continues to rule the Big Red Brand.
