Iron Man's Robert Downey Jr. Among Six Hollywood Actors Earning Up To $20 Million A Movie

He might play a genius, a playboy, and a philanthropist as Iron Man, but Robert Downey Jr.'s billionaire status is certainly no act.

Downey Jr. was recently listed as one of six Hollywood actors who score at least $20 million per film that they star in—or, roughly the value of one Iron Man suit. Along with the likes of Denzel Washington, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Sandra Bullock, the man behind Iron Man is one of the film industry's highest-paid actors.

As The Hollywood Reporter notes, Downey Jr. makes at least $20 million per Iron Man or major Marvel Studios (like The Avengers) film. Add in the kickbacks he negotiated for each Iron Man film's box office performance, and Downey Jr. has a piggy bank as massive as Stark's himself. So ok, maybe the "genius" bit isn't an act either.

Downey Jr.'s next Marvel payday comes with Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1st.
