Robert Kirkman Reveals Fear The Walking Dead Will Debut In August

Robert Kirkman has confirmed that Fear The Walking Dead will debut on AMC this August.

Fear The Walking Dead is AMC's spinoff to the main The Walking Dead series. Spearheaded by Kirkman—who also executive produces The Walking Dead and write The Walking Dead comic book—Fear The Walking Dead will take place in Los Angeles. Set before the days of the main Walking Dead series, Fear The Walking Dead will chronicle civilization's fall to the zombie apocalypse. Many assumed that the spinoff would air sometime this summer, ahead of the main Walking Dead series' sixth season premiere, but Kirkman's comments seal the deal.

"I'm really excited for FEAR THE WALKING DEAD to debut in August and for people to see just what we've done," Kirkman told Fangoria.

Fear The Walking Dead hits AMC this August.
