Alicia Vikander Confirmed For Matt Damon's Next Bourne Film

Alicia Viklander, 26, will star in the next Bourne film, according to Deadline.

Deadline also reports that Viklander's Bourne role will keep her out of contention for a role in Justin Kurzel's Assassins Creed film that will star Michael Fassbender. She couldn't squeeze both films into her busy schedule.

The next Bourne film will star Matt Damon and Julia Stiles. It will be directed by Paul Greengrass, who is also writing the script along with Christopher Rouse.

The Swedish actress has garnered a lot of attention ever since her mesmerizing performance as the beguiling 'Ava' in Alex Garland's sleeper-hit Ex Machina. She'll next been seen in Warner Bros' The Man From U.N.C.L.E., opposite Henry Cavill (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) and Armie Hammer (The Lone Ranger).

The next chapter of the Bourne films is set to hit theaters on July 29, 2016.
