Alexandria may be in trouble.

During The Walking Dead's Hall H panel at San Diego Comic Con, the producers and cast assembled on stage for some insight to the show's sixth season.

Greg Nicotero shared with the crowd a terrifying fact: the episode which he directed required over 600 extras in walker make-up. "One day, we had over 300 walkers," on set Nicotero said. They are also more "decompositioned" than ever before.

This likely hints at the "No Way Out" story line from the comics where a skirmish with the DC Scavengers lead to a a massive horde of walkers flocking to Alexandria and breaking down the walls. This event seems imminent based on the new trailer released today.

SPOILERS ahead for the comics and possibly for The Walking Dead TV series!

In the comics, Carl loses an eye during this as Douglas Monroe (who is Deanna Monroe on TV) fires shots in every direction while being devoured by zombies. There isn't very much Carl in the season 6 trailer, so the possibility of this integral comic book moment being realized on television is certainly a reality.
