The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 hits theaters tonight (officially, tomorrow), and projected estimates say it should be a huge global debut. It's easy enough to look at the 4,175 domestic screens and 33,000 foreign ones and understand that yes, this movie will be big.

Current estimates as reported by Variety are saying as much as $125 million from the U.S., with another $175 million from other territories. The 33,000 screens is the largest launch of 2015 and the biggest ever for Lionsgate as a studio. The simultaneous release in the U.S., U.K., and China is especially significant. The number of screens for the finale almost double the 17,963 for the first part of the final book's adaptation.

If it does as well as projected, it should about double the film's budget in opening weekend alone, and easily take over the #1 rank. $125 million domestic, however, would only put it at fourth place for domestic openings in 2015 - and there's still that one other big film coming in December.

Mockingjay Part 2 hits theaters November 20, 2015.
