Police in Montana responded to reports of shots fired in Great Falls, only to find a family watching The Walking Dead with the volume up and the windows open, local news reports.

Law enforcement got a crisis drill in on Sunday, when they were alerted to the sounds of gunfire and melee combat in the midseason premiere of AMC's The Walking Dead -- but after they arrived and surrounded the house, they determined there was no threat and nobody was taken into custody.

No word on whether they were instructed to turn down the volume, lest the neighbors continue to worry. The location of the incident and the names of those involved were not released.
