The Walking Dead Season 6 Finale Is One Of The Best Episodes Ever According To Greg Nicotero

During a publicity interview with AMC, The Walking Dead's effects guru Greg Nicotero, who directed tonight's season six finale, gushed about the episode, the introduction of Negan, and the task he had before him when he accepted the responsibility of directing it.

"I knew that every single comic book fan was waiting for this episode," he said. "I went into this episode unlike any other episode that I had directed."

Saying that casting Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan was "a stroke of genius," Nicotero said that "Last Day on Earth" is "one of the best episodes we've produced in six years."
