Batman Easter Egg Spotted on The Simpsons

This week's episode of The Simpsons was a pop culture bonanza, even moreso than usual. After a couch gag by Disney animator Eric Goldberg (watch that above), the story went into a flashback that included a little church charity clean-up trip.

Well, eagle-eyed viewers may've noticed another pop culture Easter Egg in the mix, there, when their work was done and they were boarding the bus to leave: a parody movie poster.

The movie? Batman vs Batwoman. Obviously a take on the heroes fighting heroes theme we're getting as the central focus of three superhero films in the first half of 2016, the poster shows two costumed bat heroes about to face off, with a child (also costumed) between them. "This time it's for custody" the tagline says.

Now, The Simpsons doesn't have any ties to WB, but it has been prophetic in the past, and the movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was predicted by an Easter Egg billboard in I Am Legend. Anything can happen.
