Amidst all of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild news during E3, the company also made time to spotlight a new title in the Mario Party franchise.

This entry is titled Mario Party Star Rush, and will release for the Nintendo 3DS. The biggest innovation that Nintendo brings to Party Star Rush is the removal of turn-based gameplay in a new mode called Toad Scramble. Up to four players can now take their turns without having to wait for the other three players, and can make their way across the board alongside the other 3 toad leaders, all doing the same thing.

During the game, you'll have access to the normal group of Nintendo favorites, including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, Rosalina, Toadette, Toad (naturally), Wario, Waluigi, and the adorable Yoshi (via Nerdist). You won't pick them at the beginning as in previous games. Instead, you'll pick them up as you make your way along. The new trailer shows a bit of this in action, as you can see various teams forming according to your chosen path.

Once you get to the level's boss, however, you can still opt to work with the other players to take them down, or you can go at it all by your lonesome. The trailer shows off a few boss battles, and the gameplay there seems to be a lot closer to what we've come to expect from the series.

With a fresh coat of paint and some new mechanics in tow, Mario Party: Star Rush will hit the 3DS on November 4th.
