Wonder Woman made her onscreen debut during Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which just amped up fans even more for her solo film debut in 2017.

In preparation for her first solo outing, DC All Access is giving fans a look at the Wonder Woman featurette that can be found on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - The Ultimate Edition. In their newest BVS 101 spotlight, Jason Inman puts the focus squarely on Diana, covering the characters origin, both real world and comic, as well as a brief rundown of her history.

It's a great primer for new fans of the warrior princess, and a fantastic springboard for fans to launch from and seek out the plethora of Wonder Woman comics in the DC archives, stories that we hope will someday make it to film.

As for her solo film, Wonder Woman will contain the character's origin, but isn't necessarily just an origin tale. Gal Gadot recently elaborated a bit on the differences between her part in BVS and her newest project.

"In Batman V Superman, you are being introduced to a very experienced, dark Wonder Woman," Gadot said. "She has been around for a while. Something happened 100 years ago that made her not want to be involved in a man's world. However, we are going to tell the entire coming of age story of Diana. We're going to see how she becomes Wonder Woman. She is very different to the Diana that you see in [Dawn Of Justice]. She is more naïve and she's purer. She is a young idealist who does not yet understand the complexities of life."

Wonder Woman hits theatres on June 2nd, 2017, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - The Ultimate Edition is available now.
