Will Smith has accomplished a great deal during his film career, but even with an accomplished resume such as his, Suicide Squad could be his biggest hit.

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actor spoke about his much anticipated new film, and how privileged he feels to still have amazing opportunities like Suicide Squad pop up later into his career.

"It feels good to ah, to get to this point in my career you know and still have an opportunity to have the biggest film in my career." Smith then decided not to push good fortune too far and knocked on jimmy's desk for some added good luck.

Suicide Squad is projected to hit over $100 million, which would take the crown for record openings in August. Surprisingly that would also rank as the biggest opening of Smith's career, as his 2007 film, I Am Legend currently takes first place for Smith at just over $77 million. After that sits Hancock, which took in over $62 million on its opening day. Better yet, the film could also surpass Independence Day ($306 million) as his biggest film in total domestic gross as well.

The potential for a franchise here is huge, and that is certainly what DC and Warner Bros. executives are hoping for. While Smith came in undaunted by all the hype around the project, he did admit that once he saw the Batmobile his unnerved facade was completely broken.

"It was great, it was cool. The Suicide Squad is in the Batman world so it's in the DC Comics world, so you know it was cool, I made a lot of movies, it's all good, (shrugs) you know, it's another movie, just another movie you know. The Batmobile came around the corner, and I was like Ohh Ohh! (screams). Ben Affleck jumps out of the Batmobile and I'm like aaaahhhh! (claps). I was six years old. I was in the scene like "Ben can you sign this, can you sign this!"

Suicide Squad debuts on August 5th.
