Batman V Superman Lost Cut From Stryder HD

At one point in time, the DC film universe looked quite different, and this new fan trailer from Stryder HD imagines what Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice would have looked like in its previous form.

Director Bryan Singer had finally delivered his love letter to the Superman franchise with the Brandon Routh-starring Superman Returns, but the fan response wasn't what the studio hoped for. In stark contrast, director Christopher Nolan was responsible for a well-received trilogy of Batman films starring Christian Bale. We now know what might have happened if the two had continued on their collision course.

Stryder posted the trailer with the following description. "This is a little project I had thought about doing ever since Batman v Superman became a thing. What if we still had Brandon Routh as Superman and Bale continuing his legacy as Batman from the Nolan franchise, which was amazing might I add. I hope you guys enjoy!"

It pictures a scenario where Henry Cavill's Superman is actually Bizarro and pits the two Supermen against each other in a climactic final battle, and the visual effects team did an amazing job on bringing transforming Cavill's Superman.

While Routh and Bale are no longer in their former roles, Routh has found a new home in the DC Universe as part of Legends of Tomorrow.
