Mantic Games, the board game company responsible for games such as Deadzone and Mars Attacks, has introduced a new contest with ties to one of the most popular shows on TV - The Walking Dead.
The company's 'Brush With Death' painting competition asks fans to modify character pieces from their game The Walking Dead: All Out War.
The strategy game's first wave includes twelve different walkers, as well as comic characters Derek, Patrick, Sandra, Liam, and of course, Rick and Carl Grimes. According to the company, any of these pieces can be modified for the contest.
Submissions can either be single characters or a multi-character diorama. A press release from Mantic Games further explains the goal of the contest, and of including these two categories.
"We want to see your incredible work on Rick, or perhaps a stunning paint job on a particularly nasty Walker. Plus, we've even got a special category for diorama pieces featuring two or more miniatures, which means you can recreate some of the iconic moments from the comic – Rick meeting back up with Lori and Carl, Dale keeping watch in the Atlanta Camp, Rick riding through Atlanta on his horse surrounded by Walkers…the choice is yours!"
Anyone wanting to enter the contest does have to follow a few rules. Miniatures can't be built from scratch, and only one submission per person is allowed in each category.
This isn't the first time Mantic Games has held a contest like this. The company ran an all-encompassing 'Brust With Death' contest last year, the winners of which you can view on their Facebook page.
With those past submissions, and the creativity amongst the The Walking Dead family, this contest is sure to produce some awesome pieces of art.
The Walking Dead returns for the rest of its seventh season on February 12 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
