Tokyo Ghoul: [SPOILER] Just Hooked Up

If you have been waiting for two of Tokyo Ghoul's leads to get together, then you have to wait no more. Shueisha recently published Sui Ishida's latest chapter of Tokyo Ghoul:re, and the stunning release did exactly what fans had hoped.

Yes, that's right. Touka and Ken finally got together - you know, in that sort of way. The manga's newest chapter was basically dedicated to the pair having sex for the first time, and the panels are steamier than you might've expected.

The chapter foregoes a good bit of plot to give Touka and Ken's budding romance breathing room. A few chapters ago, fans watched as Touka quietly asked her friend whether he was a virgin, and the query had the half-Ghoul freezing on the spot. After a brief confession, it seems like the hot couple was ready to consummate their attraction to one another, and it proved Ishida has a bright future as a hentai artist if he's interested.

While the couple's lovemaking signals a definite shift in their relationship, fans are worried for what this could mean for Touka and Ken. After all, the latter has a bad record keeping those he's loved safe, and there are plenty of seedy villains out there who'd like to get to Ken or his children. Should Touka get pregnant from the interaction, the pair would find themselves in a dangerous situation for more than one reason.

For now, there is no telling how Touka's relationship with Ken will shape out in future chapters, but the simple fact the two are together is enough for some fans. There's little doubt that readers who ship the couple were living large when Shueisha released the Tokyo Ghoul:re chapter. However, their happiness can't compare to what the characters felt; That sort of orgasmic bliss is hard to recreate, you know?

The series debuted in September 2011 thanks to mangaka Sui Ishida. Weekly Young Jump first published the manga before it was adapted into an anime series by Pierrot. The anime premiered in July 2014 before a second season ran in January 2015. A third season has yet to be announced by any party.

Tokyo Ghoul is set in an alternate reality where creatures known as ghouls exist. The horrifying monsters survive by consuming human flesh and live amongst humans in secret. The story follows a boy named Ken Kaneki after a date-gone-wrong leaves him a half-ghoul. Struggling to adapt to his new life, Ken tries his best to fit into ghoul society, keep his monstrous status hidden from humans, and reign in the insatiable hunger he has for flesh.
