There are so many ways to show love for a particular fandom. Cosplay, art, writing re-imagined stories - there is always some unique way to connect the community with a beloved franchise. One Los Angeles-based artist decided that his love of League of Legends and Pokemon needed to come together and he took his talent and made it happen in a beautiful way!
Chris Hohl, the artist behind the beautiful crossover depictions below, is an illustrator that is currently working as a concept artist in the animation industry. His use of lighting and powerful colour schemes can be clearly seen; from passion-infused oranges, to ethereal blues edged with mysterious purple hues. The work is gorgeous and is something that fans of either series could enjoy, check them out for yourself:
The first piece submitted is a crossover showcasing League of Legends champion Brand alongside the Pokemon Moltres. The pairing makes perfect sense, both have fire specializations. The colours used perfectly encapsulate the Brand's passionate backstory, "This place will burn, not by cinder flying or breath of wind, but by the vengeance of my hand." Though the wind could now help, given that Moltres is also a flying type in the Pokemon series.
The above image features Lissandra from League of Legends projecting a sense of peace, yet power, alongside the Pokemon Articuno. Another expertly done pairing, as Articuno is an ice/flying type which marries perfectly with Lissandre's ice powers. Her magic commands the element expertly with a controlled and deadly precision. With Lissandre and Articuno teamed up? There would be no stopping the Ice Witch.

Janna, also known as the Storm's Fury, is seen above paired with the Pokemon Dragonair. The dragon type and the wind sorceress make an incredible duo, and fit together in a way that goes beyond simple game type. Dragons have always been seen as this sort of dangerous beauty. Gorgeous mythological creatures that are magical, yet deadly. Much of the same could be said with Janna's power of the storm. Beautiful, but capable of incredible damage.
And finally, for Hohl's last piece in his League of Legends x Pokemon crossover art, he has the League of Legends champ Fizz amidst the depths of the mysterious ocean alongside Gyarados. Fizz is adorable, but he's not considered the 'Tidal Trickster' for nothing. With his quick evasive moves and control over water, he's the perfect match for the flying/water type Gyarados. With Fizz's more playful nature, and Gyarados' ferocity seen in the world of Pokemon - this pair is a match at first glance might appear odd, but the more you think about it; the more it works.
