New My Hero Academia Anime Special Announced

If you are one of the many fans who cannot wait for My Hero Academia to return, then you are in for a treat. The folks behind the popular anime have heard your desperate pleas, and they have come up with a remedy. Prior to the debut of season two, My Hero Academia will be getting an anime special bundled with the 14th volume of Kōhei Horikoshi's manga.

The most recent issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump confirmed that the upcoming volume would be bundled with an anime short. Horikoshi worte the original story. The next issue of the magazine will feature more information about the short, but fans are pleased enough to hear that it is happening.

Sadly, it doesn't seem like the volume is scheduled to hit shelves before April 2017, but fans will still be treated to new anime before My Hero Academia launches into its new season. The 13th manga volume will also ship with an anime special, and the package will go on sale April 4th. This special will act as a bridge between the anime's first two seasons, so the next special may contain content from season two.

If you are a fan of My Hero Academia, you will be happy to hear about the franchise's imminent return. The new season will air on Saturdays in Japan starting in April, and it is set to cover the events of the 'U.A. Sports Festival' story arc.

If you are not familiar with My Hero Academia, then you should know the series kicked off in 2014 when Weekly Shonen Jump published Kōhei Horikoshi's manga. The series was then adapted into an anime in April 2016 and quickly gained popularity.

The show follows a middle school student named Izuku Midoriya. The boy is a regular teenager who was born in an alternate universe where everyone is born with superpowers. That is, except for him. Izuku dreams of still becoming a famous and beloved superhero, but he finds himself mocked for the optimistic goal.

However, his classmates are soon put in their place with Izuku does something truly heroic; The boy saves a fellow classmate of his from a villain when no one else would, and the world's greatest superhero, All Might, decides to gift the boy with a power. The gift, which is known as One For All, allows Izuku to channel great physical strength - and it finally allows him to enter the training academy U.A. High School.

If you want to catch up on the well-loved anime, then you still have time to do so before the second season of My Hero Academia premieres. Sites such as Hulu provide English subbed episodes of the first season, so you can binge all 13 episodes to your heart's content.
