IDW Limited announced today that they’ll be releasing a deluxe edition Transformers hardcover not entirely unlike the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hardcover that kicked off the imprint earlier this year.

Transformers: The IDW Collection Volume 1 will be available in January. You can pre-order your copy now by clicking on that link.

As with most of the IDW Limited series, they’ve gone the Johnnie Walker route of having an entry-level “Red Label” version, a more upscale “Black Label” version and a holy-crap-that’s-expensive-will-you-at-least-throw-in-a-sandwich-with-that? “Blue Label” version. The Red Label version is $125, limited to 275 copies and features a nice presentation, but not quite as many bells and whistles as the higher-end models.

Transformers: The IDW Collection Volume 1 also comes with three different Black Label editions featuring art by different creators, so there are even more options than usual.

You can check out the details below, including trailers for each version.

This Red Label edition of Transformers: The IDW Collection Vol.1 is signed by six of the biggest names to work on Transformers including Coller, Furman, Matere, McCarthy, Milne and Su. Hand-numbered to 275, this Red Label edition has traveled more than 50,000 miles to collect the signatures and artwork pictured.

Volume 1 collects Megatron Origin #1-4, Spotlight: Blurr, Spotlight: Cliffjumper, Spotlight: Shockwave, Spotlight: Nightbeat, Spotlight: Hot Rod, Spotlight: Soundwave, and Infiltration #0-6.

There are three different version of the Black Label edition, each containing everything from the Red Label but also including a hand-drawn sketch by a different artist. Limited to 10 copies for each artist, the total number of Black Label editions will be 30. The artists involved are Alex Milne, Casey Coller and Marcelo Matere.

This Black Label edition of Transformers: The IDW Collection Vol.1 comes with a hand-drawn illustration by Casey Coller.
