20th Century Fox Comic-Con Panel

Over the last several days, San Diego Comic-Con released their 2013 panel schedule. All the major movie studios unveiled their plans, giving fans insight into which films to expect to be included in their panel presentations. Everyone unveiled their plans that is except for 20th Century Fox. While we know Marvel Studios will spotlight Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we have not a clue what 20th Century Fox will present at Comic-Con. Well, we may have somewhat of a clue. Since The Wolverine is scheduled to be released the week after Comic-Con, one might expect that star Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold might be in attendance to do a little PR work. As a movie that's been labeled by Yahoo as the movie summer forgot, The Wolverine could certainly use a little more visibility. In fact, 20th Century Fox should probably consider doing an advance premiere of The Wolverine to Comic-Con attendees. 20th Century Fox also has on its slate what looks to be one of the biggest comic book movies of 2014. There are a ton of stars attached to X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which could very well prove to be an Avengers-size hit for 20th Century Fox. Of course, it could also be a Battleship-size disaster, so it's important that 20th Century Fox start building good buzz for the film now. Could it be that 20th Century Fox is planning a lineup so impressive that they are keeping it under wraps as a surprise? Maybe X-Men: Days Of Future Past director Bryan Singer will be bringing the entire star-packed cast of the mutant movie to Comic-Con. As the only San Diego Comic-Con left before the movie premieres, it's now or never for X-men: Days Of Future Past. We do know that 20th Century Fox has an hour and a half worth of space reserved, which is probably enough time to promote three movies. What else could 20th Century Fox promote? With Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters set to be released in August 2013, it's probably a good bet that it could be one of the films featured. There's also a chance that there might be some mention made of Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot, even though that one's a lot further out. Still, the question remains why 20th Century Fox chose not to announce their panel schedule with everyone else. It could be that they have something truly impressive planned, and it could also be that they are just running behind. After all, it seems like it took forever for a trailer for The Wolverine to be released, so maybe 20th Century Fox is still scrambling to finalize their panel plans. Whatever the case, the 20th Century Fox mystery panel is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 4:15 PM to 5:45 PM in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con.
