New Doctor Who Rumored To Be Revealed During Doctor Who-Themed Proms

Could fans find out tonight who is set to become the twelfth Doctor Who? According to a report on SFcrowsnest.org.uk, the new Doctor Who will be revealed at the Doctor Who-themed proms tonight at Albert Hall in London. They cite fantasy and science fiction author Stephen Hunt as telling them that last night during rehearsals for the Doctor Who-themed proms the staff was briefed on a section of the proms where the identity of the new Doctor Who will be revealed. It's possible that the new Doctor Who might actually even walk out on stage. There are no spoilers as to who the new Doctor Who is, so fans will have to tune into the special concert tonight on BBC Radio 3. It's set to start on Saturday, July13, 2013 at 7:30 PM. While this report should definitely be classified as rumor for now, it wouldn't be surprising if the BBC chose this weekend to announce the twelfth Doctor Who to get people buzzing ahead of San Diego Comic-Con. It would also make sense from the perspective that they might want to have the new Doctor Who in place to make an appearance at the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary panel at Comic-Con.
