Marvel Announces 75th Anniversary Anthology

Marvel Comics has announced Marvel 75th Anniversary Celebration #1, an anthology comic featuring some of the biggest names in the company's history.

The anthology features a cover by Paolo Rivera. Inside, the anthology begins with Bruce Timm adapting the prose story Captain America Foils the Traitor's Revenge, the first published work by Stan Lee, into a comic for the first time.

James Robinson and Chris Samnee revisit the Fantastic Four's origin, while Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos - the creative team behind Alias - tell a new story starring Jessica Jones.

The issue also includes a new Spider-Man story by Tom DeFalco, Stan Goldberg & Scott Hanna, as well as a new Wolverine story by Len Wein & Paul Gulacy. Plus, Brian Michael Bendis and several artists team together to create covers to the comics Marvel never published.

Additionally, the issue has several extra features, including articles, retrospectives, and a tribute to Marvel creators who are no longer with us.

Marvel 75th Anniversary Celebration goes on sale in October.
