Did You Catch Every Villain Shown In The Gotham Spring Premiere Trailer?
Only one week until Gotham returns, and the series is gearing up for an epic arc. The new story is [...]
The Riddler
While Edward Nygma hasn't officially been called The Riddler just yet, he's well on his way. In fact, it's been said that he will officially embrace the iconic character by the time this season ends.
In this new episode, Nygma is wearing the green suit that many will associate with The Riddler. When seen in the trailer, it's clear that he's making the turn.
The episode is also called 'Heroes Rise: How the Riddler Got His Name' - that's about as straightforward as you can get.
prevnextCatwoman
Like Nygma, many of these characters have yet to become the villains that comic readers have always known them to be. This is true for one of the show's main characters, Selina Kyle.
Everyone knows that Selina ends up becoming Catwoman, and many of her actions have nodded to the character. However, her one scene in this trailer is a direct tie to the version of Catwoman depicted in Batman Returns.
Hopefully, Selina Kyle will become the famous villain by the end of season three.
prevnextPoison Ivy, Firefly, Mr. Freeze
In Gotham, villains have often team-up, causing major havoc on the city. That theme continues to be true as Poison Ivy, Firefly, and Mr. Freeze are all depicted together.
The three villains make an excellent team, as they perfectly represent the three major elements. Ivy represents earth, Firefly represents fire, and Mr. Freeze represents ice.
When the trio is put together, a mighty challenge is created for Jim Gordon and the Gotham PD.
prevnextThe Executioner (Bane?)
After Nathan Barnes began his transformation into a villain, many thought that he would become Batman's classic nemesis, Bane. However, the angry super-human was referred to as The Executioner.
In this trailer, Barnes is seen being escorted by two wards at Arkham Asylum. While he may be called The Executioner, the mask on his face makes him look like the villain fans are hoping he becomes.
Is this the true introduction of Bane?
prevnextCourt Of Owls
If there was someone who could claim control of Gotham at this point, it would likely be the Court Of Owls.
The mysterious villains are making things happen behind the scenes, and they're responsible for much of the mayhem occurring on the streets.
As the show goes on, prepare to see even more of these evil-doers.
prevnextHugo Strange
Dr. Hugo Strange is responsible for many of Gotham's problems, as the villain continues to create horrible monstrosities.
In addition to altering Fish Mooney's DNA, he created a full clone of Bruce Wayne. While Dopple-Bruce is gone at the moment, there's definitely a chance that comes back to bite someone later on.
prevnextFish Mooney
No matter what anyone does, it seems like it will be impossible to ever truly rid Gotham City of Fish Mooney.
The villain has been around since the very first season of Gotham, and she continues to be a thorn in the side of many of the heroes.
Every time fans believe there is some kind of victory on the show, Fish shows up to put a new group of villains together.
prevnextRa's al Ghul
When you look through the history of Bruce Wayne, it's hard to believe any villain had a bigger impact on the character than Ra's al Ghul.
When he appears on Gotham this season, Ra's will seem like a friend to Bruce. The guy will act as a mentor, he will show Bruce how to fight, and he will seem like the kind of character you want to root for.
However, as fans of Batman all know, that good feeling doesn't last forever.
prevnextMadhatter
Many fans loved Madhatter's turn as Gotham's big baddie earlier this season, and some would go as far as to say he's the best villain the show has ever seen.
If you're one of those people, it's time to rejoice. As all of the villains are set to make an impact, it looks like Madhatter could have another crack at a reign of terror.
