Even though there may be many actors and filmmakers involved with the current DC Extended Universe, the entire franchise began with two men. Zack Snyder had the vision, and Henry Cavill was his Man of Steel.
No matter how many films are added to the DCEU, or where life takes these guys when it's over, they will always share that epic beginning. They have formed a close bond over the years, and their interactions continue to prove to fans just how close they are.
May 5 is Cavill's birthday - he turns 34 this year - and Snyder posted a thoughtful throwback moment in order to celebrate.
On his Vero account, Snyder shared a picture of the two men on the set of Man of Steel. Along with their smiling faces, the director shared this caption:
"Happy birthday to my friend Henry you help me accomplish wonders."
If you recall, that caption was part of a quote from Man of Steel. Jor-El told Kal that he would help the people of Earth accomplish wonders.
In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, based on a story by Snyder and Terrio, and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
