Wonder Woman has been a massive boon for Warner Bros. and their brand of DC Films. The first movie to feature the Princess of Themyscira in a leading role has also been one of the biggest success stories of the 2017 summer blockbuster season.
The story has also had a huge cultural impact, presenting one of the most popular superheroes in the DC Comics pantheon to generations of fans old and new, providing a brand new role model for both women and men to look up to.
The movie’s success has earned the story a right to be forever recognized in the United States’ own Library of Congress.
The original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter, star of the 1970s TV show, presented the script for the film to Dr. Carla Hayden as a gift from director Patty Jenkins.
Check out the video of the Carter giving Allan Heinberg and Geoff John’s original script of the film to Dr. Hayden below, and make sure you take a look at Dr. Hayden’s face when she realizes just what the Library of Congress is receiving.
Jenkins was also stoked to have her movie be recognized in the Library, as evidenced by her own tweet.
