Slade Wilson was reunited with his son last week on Arrow, but from the looks of things in a clip from tonight's "Promises Kept" it's not exactly the reunion he was hoping. You can check out the clip above.

The clip shows Slade Wilson/Deathstroke (Manu Bennett) come face to face with his long-lost son, Joe, but Joe isn't really interested in a father-son reunion. Instead, as the clip shows, Joe has a gun pulled on his father and is considering killing him in an act of patricide. Of course, despite Joe's assertion that the apple doesn't fall from the tree Slade manages to call Joe's bluff, walking right up to the barrel of his son's gun telling him to make a choice because he has nothing left to lose.

As we saw last week, the former Joe Wilson -- goes by his mother's last name Kane these days -- wasn't being held captive by a group of mercenaries known as the Jackals. Joe is their leader. Slade already offered to join the group if they let Joe go, but in light of the leadership role his son plays Slade might maintain that offer just to be closer to his son and with what we saw in the preview for tonight's episode, that may end up putting Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) in danger as Joe is seen instructing Slade to take back what was taken from him -- in this case, a literal eye for an eye.

Tonight's episode won't just focus on Slade's family reunion, though. We will also get to see what happened to Slade in the gap of time from when Oliver left Slade for dead on Lian Yu and when Slade showed up in Star City seeking revenge on Oliver in the show's second season.

Arrow airs Thursdays at 9/8c on The CW.
