Vampyr, a vampire-themed journey through early 1900s London, is set to be released in November, a teaser trailer that was released on Thursday revealed.

The news of the blood-sucking RPG's release comes from publisher Focus Home Interactive after the company recently uploaded an E3 teaser trailer to their YouTube page. Vampyr's newest trailer runs at just about three and a half minutes, and while it certainly looks like an attractive experience, it doesn't lend much insight into the gameplay that players can look forward to. What we can likely expect, as seen in the trailer and with the knowledge that it'll be an RPG, is some human/vampire hybrid tactics to be employed along the way.

Putting a moral spin on the vampire genre, Vampyr gives players control of a respected physician named Dr. Jonathan Reid. Your job description goes through a couple of changes though after the protagonist becomes a newly-turned vampire and faces an ethical dilemma. A talented doctor, Reid has a responsibility to save historic London and cure the town of the vampire disease that plagues it. However, the doctor is also now a vampire, and with that comes the need and the desire to feed off of others in order to satisfy his vampiric hunger.

With that problem comes some more of the RPG elements that the game will include. You're going to have to feed, that much is certain, but the choice is up to you as to which citizens of London you choose to feed off of and which you'd prefer to leave alone. There are consequences that are expected to be associated with each decision, and you can use these choices to shape London as you see fit.

But you may not have to work towards saving London after all. The game's site says that your actions will either save or doom London, so maybe we'll see that players have the chance to go full vampire bad boy if they want and create a London overrun with the vampire menace.

Vampyr is set to release in November for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and more on the game will hopefully be shown next week during E3.
