Pokemon Construx

Life-size Starter Pokemon made out of Construx blocks were spotted at the 2017 Pokemon World Championships, and according to one onlooker and likely many more, they'd make a perfect addition to any Pokemon fan's collection.

A photo showing off the blocky Generation I starter Pokemon including Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Pikachu was tweeted out recently from the Pokemon World Championships in Anaheim, Calif. It's not known who built the Pokemon right now, but whoever constructed the project must've spent quite a bit of time getting the four Pokemon up to the size they are with signature attacks to accompany each one.

The tweet above came from Joe Merrick, well-known Pokemon enthusiast and webmaster of the Serebii site that keeps up with all things Pokemon. Merrick is one of many Pokemon Trainers who has taken to Anaheim to take part in the World Championships where it's all Pokemon, all the time.

While creating giant Pokemon out of Mega Contrux would've been a large enough accomplishment on its own, adding a signature move for each Pokemon helps round out their unique identities. Though it might look like Bulbasaur is just hanging out compared to his Starter friends that are on the attack, the Grass Pokemon is actually using Vine Whip. The vines blend in with the green bulb on the Pokemon's back, but he's most certainly on the offensive.

A different angle from another visitor who captured an image of the Mega Construx creations shows of the vines better and also gives look at each Pokemon on its own.

Not to detract from the ones that don't but whats even more impressive is that both Pikachu and Squirtle are using their signature attacks for the models' stands instead of using more traditional bases like Charmander and Bulbasaur do.

If you enjoy seeing creative Pokemon content such as this, you can expect to see much more over the next few days. The Pokemon World Championships just kicked off today, so the weekend will likely be filled with more Pokemon news to come.
