Recently, Shaq, Marshawn Lynch, and the out-of-left field J.Lo (she must still be Jenny from the block) came out to announced the teams that will be going head to head in the world of competitive eSports. The game in question is the highly praised FPS Overwatch from Blizzard, and it turns out that the announcement hid away a few hints at upcoming content. Sneaky, Blizzard.

With the addition of the Shanghai Dragons and the Dallas Fuel teams to the roster, evidently there will also be in-game items that can be earned to represent a player's favourite team. The adorable ice queen (or the devil, depending on who you are) Mei can be seen in the image above rocking a Shanghai Dragons jersey, with Genji below repping the Dallas Fuel.

The awesome guys over at PC Gamer noticed the skins above and reached out to Blizzard for any sort of confirmation as to what this means. This was their response:

"We were honored to collaborate with the Overwatch development team and Team Envy to announce the Dallas Fuel's visual identity with a custom Genji skin for demonstration purposes. We look forward to sharing more information about Overwatch League-affiliated in-game items in the coming months."

Looks like it won't just be the two skins shown above, players might be able to show their love with new sprays, icons, and other in-game loot to make that team pride count. With Overwatch League-specific content confirmed to be on the way, it's fun to speculate which direction this will go. Here's hoping that there will be a little patch add-on so that players that are particularly fond of a certain skin (looking at you, Halloween event), they can still show off which team they are rooting for while in-game.

Overwatch is now available to play for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC; with the Halloween Terror 2017 event going live on the 10th.
