Things You Might Have Missed In The New Inhumans Trailer
The cast of Marvel’s Inhumans gathered with Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb at San Diego Comic Con [...]
Who's A Good Boy?
Alright, so it's pretty hard to miss a 2000-pound dog. But we have to admit, we couldn't go any further without talking about just how stinkin' cute Lockjaw is going to be in the show. Not only that, it looks like he's going to serve quite a big role.
For that didn't minor in Terregensis at college, Lockjaw essentially serves as the family pet of the Inhuman Royal Family. Except this isn't any normal dog. This bulldog can teleport between space, time, and dimensions.
While the show probably won't make use of Lockjaw's ability to travel across time in the show, we do see the pooch travel several members of the Royal Family across space. We see him transport Black Bolt (Anson Mount) from Attilan to the middle of some road on Earth and we see him transporting Gorgon (Eme Ikwuakor) somewhere away from the craziness Maximus (Iwan Rheon) has created on Attilan.
prevnextTriton, Son of Mander
The trailer starts with Triton (Mike Moh) speaking to a fellow Inhuman in what's presumably a forest or jungle somewhere on Earth. Answering questions from his acquaintance, he reveals that there's a city full on Inhumans on the moon.
This sequence provides the best look we've received of the green-skinned Inhuman in the show's marketing yet.
There's another action sequence later where we see Triton and his friend trying to escape the jungle all while attempting to elude gunfire. We then get a shot of Triton's cousin Gorgon (Eme Ikwuakor) in what's sure to be the same forest, as he uses his hoof-stomping powers to render some guys with guns — perhaps members of a military — incapacitated.
prevnextAuran, Agent of Maximus?
It was only last week that we received confirmation that actress Sonya Balmores would be portraying the Inhuman named Auran, who — in the comics — is fiercely loyal to Black Bolt as she serves in a capacity as adviser to the Royal Family.
This trailer provided the first look at Balmores in action as Auran and the biggest thing there is to notice is the lack of the character's signature yellow skin and bunny-like ears.
Over the course of the trailer, when Maximus sounds like he's campaigning for the throne of Attilan, there's a shot of Auran agreeing with his statements. That is then soon followed by a shot of Auran boarding a bus on Earth before snapping the bus driver's neck.
The brash move by a member of Attilan's Royal Guard is fairly out of character and might hint that the show's take on Auran might be one of an antagonist.
prevnextHey Look, New Inhumans!
A good chunk of the show is said to take place in Attilan, which is located on the moon. And — if you've seen any Inhumans in the comics — you'll know that they're aren't always necessarily the human-looking type.
That said, fans were left disappointed after seeing the lack of Inhuman-looking characters in the first trailer. Everyone looked relatively human.
Now, we at least get two shots of other-worldly looking beings. When Triton is telling his friend in the jungle about Attilan, we see an Inhuman with glowing ember eyes and then we see another Inhuman — who appears to have gills of some sort — as Maximus is addressing a crowd of gathered Attilanians.
