While Justice League/Power Rangers #6 concludes the series, there was one big reveal that could tease a second series.
Spoilers incoming for Justice League/Power Rangers #6, so if you haven't read the issue yet you've been warned.
Issue #6 kicks off with the battle between the Rangers, the League, and the alliance of Lord Zedd and Brainiac. Thus far the devious twosome has managed to keep the upper hand, and despite getting the capsule back that contains Angel Grove, there was one big thing missing from it.
That would be the Command Center and Zordon, both of which are revealed to be in another capsule hanging from Lord Zedd's neck. Add to this that Brainiac currently holds the Dinozords under his control and well, things don't look so great.
Enter the brilliance of Billy and Cyborg. The two heroes manage to come up with a perfect plan, but before they can put it into motion Cyborg is swarmed by Brainiac's soldiers. He emerges under Brainiac's control, but before he can get too far into his evil villain speech, Billy reveals that it was all a ploy.
He implanted a virus in Cyborg's circuitry, and it was the bait that Brainiac just couldn't resist. The virus manages to deactivate all of Brainiac's soldiers. With the Zords free, the Rangers take the fight to a now giant-sized Lord Zedd.
So, what happened to Brainiac?
Well, my friends, that is revealed towards the end of the issue. Zordon opens a portal for the Justice League to return home through, taking Brainiac's ship and all of the cities he stole from the DC Universe back with them. As the Rangers gather to see off their new friends, Alpha 5 walks off, seeming disoriented.
As he walks away, he stops talking midway through a sentence. All of the sudden Brainiac's symbol displays on his visor, and Alpha 5 utters the words "I....Am Brainiac."
Seems the Justice League left something crucial behind in Angel Grove, and it can only spell bad things for the Power Rangers.
You can find the spoiler image in the gallery, and the full issue is in comic shops now.
