The Simpsons To Kill Bart, Bring Back Spider-Pig in This Year's Treehouse of Horror

This fall, Sideshow Bob will finally kill Bart on The Simpsons.

That's according to executive producer Al Jean, who revealed the plans for 2015's Treehouse of Horror episode during a conversation in an ATX Festival panel in Austin, Texas, on Saturday (via EW).

Jean said he always wanted to see the Coyote get the Road Runner in Looney Tunes. "I hated frustration comedy so we'll scratch that itch," Jean told EW. So Bob will finally kill Bart—and then won't know what to do with himself.

Jean also revealed that Spider-Pig, who first appeared in The Simpsons Movie, will appear in the special as well. While never a major character after the movie, Spider-Pig -- real name Plopper -- appeared in the couch gag in He Loves to Fly and He D'ohs- Homer cuddles him and refers to him as his "summer love". He has also made brief cameo appearances in the Heck House segment of "Treehouse of Horror XVIII," and later appears in "All About Lisa" and "Apocalypse Cow".
